Hello! Welcome to....
Daily Enjoy!!! This is Jess and, as always, stoked to be here in your inbox. Thank you for allowing us to take up this virtual space in your life. It's a privilege!
S: Woohoo!! Hello Everyone!! Get Ready to set some time aside to read this one, because we have A LOT GOING ON THIS WEEK!!!!!!!!!!
J: I am in a Great mood this week!! No specific reason that I can pinpoint, but when this you've gotta throw yourself into the good feeling and not look back right??
If you were given the ability to time travel, where/when would you go? If you weren't focused on saving anything or making the world a better place. Ok ok I'll tell you mine.... It's the Mamma Mia wrap party in 2007. Give me a time machine and I'm hauling ass to this function. Look at these photos!
S: Wow these photos are great. I love party photos. haha.
J: Honestly they inspire me!
S: I had a Ryan McGinley moment and tried to become a party photographer back in The OLD DAYS of COLLEGE soooo Long long ago......
Cuz I think parties are places (sometimes) where people feel carefree or euphoric or dramatic and often with their friends so it's cool when people capture that in photos.... Love that Party Energy
Ok I'm indulging myself to be posting these photos soooo anyways
We can definitely re-create that party Jess!!
:-O
For this week's ~special guest segment~ we asked our dear friend Carly McKown
to show us an assortment of photos for the week that and inspired her... and
THIS (click for link)
is what she came up with.
I love the nostalgic feeling this set gave me and wish I could print it all out to hang on my wall!
(esp the hair ball)
Yes Carly thank you for sharing some truly great moments with us! I love to see people's home movies, in a way it lets us see the truest versions of each other. And the knit house!!
J: This week I'm going to be sharing with you all some select channels from my favorite corner of youtube...
It's the Old People!
Wanna go to the sweetest, most tender, most moving place on the internet?
There are people that have embraced the ease of later life and are kind enough to share peace with the rest of us. Can I be anything but grateful? I can see these videos making some of you guys sad but in a way they really move me. here are some of my favorites, in no particular order....
1.) Malinda Herman Official
Malinda Herman started playing guitar and singing as a method of therapy to recover from facial paralysis cause by a car accident over 20 years ago. She lives in Thailand and says that she just wants to bring joy to people's lives!!! Her dog Jewjam (!!) is in pretty much all of her videos, and you can hear her cat in the background of most of her songs.
Take me home country roads
2.) Veg Village Food
most aesthetically pleasing on this list!! Delicious food in every color. ends every video with giving it out to local children. I can't find exactly where she's is located, but some online forums suggest that she lives in a village in Punjab.
IMARTI / JHANGRI RECIPE LOHRI SPECIAL | IMARTI RECIPE | sweets | JHANGIRI RECIPE like jalebi recipe
3.) Frank Watkinson
beautiful covers of any song you could want, the way he sings makes me know that he has known deep despair and deep joy
Lullaby love, cover
4.) The Grandma Sylvia Show
She made her own wishing well!!!!
I will not explain myself!!!
Grandma Sylvia Show Episode 11: July 4 Garden Tour
What do these make you feel?? Huh??
Seriously you guys please tell me your favorite places to go on YouTube. I'm always looking for something new! What are you favorite channels? What do you watch to calm down? To feel deeply? Is this what heaven is like?
I hope you have a good time here. Eat your heart out
S: At the dentist this past week I got a full 3D scan of my teeth. I think the colors here indicate something about the way my bite works? or something...
But it reminded me of weather maps...

Worm Moon Photos and Thoughts....
From Lizzie P.
From Danny G.
From Corrinne J.
From Carly M.
Thanks guys for the awesome photos!!
S: All I can say is I did spend some time looking at the moon and thinking about it, and it was very bright and very full. Needless to say, I was not surprised, yet still pleased. It looked so close...
Moving on,
Sorry for the disturbing image that I've already blasted out everywhere, I don't think it's TOO disturbing, only just enough, which is why I chose to include it
So as everyone knows because I talk about it A LOT,
I went to this dentist this week...
It was a great experience because it always makes me uncomfortable/anxious/nervous/upset to go to the dentist so every time I come out the other end ALIVE I congratulate myself. Obviously, I come out alive every time. I like learning about my teeth, even though they seem to be decaying at an alarmingly fast rate these days,
--Yes yes I know and I floss every day and yes I'm taking a step back on the candy, Thanks--
I had to get a crown this week, which is basically when you get a new, fake top to your tooth (if you did not know). It's a like a giant cavity filling where they shave your tooth down and replace it with a brand new porcelain 3D printed (haha) tooth to prevent further decay and basically buy you some more time to have most of your real tooth left in your mouth/avoid a Root Canal..( :-O ) (if there are a lot of cavities already there)
so my new molar is coming in from California in two weeks, apparently. Anyways I went in there so nervous as always and right after I got loaded up with so much novacaine which is truly incredible anda blessing to have access to in my LIFETIME!! to avoid the ZINGING pain:
"Zing" is the only way i can describe the pain of when they touch your tooth with the metal instrument (tartar scraper?) and they hit a sensitive spot. it feels like ZINGGGGGG!!!!!!!! OWwwwww. Does anyone else relate to this? The only word that can come close is the Zing. It's so perfect...
I digress, I digress and now continuing on. I had some strange euphoric feeling (I swear) that I have not had at the dentist, um, EVER, when they were DRILLING into my teeth.
I felt like I had really conquered something and maybe it's just the recurring fear and loathing of going to the dentist followed by the relief of knowing it would be over soon, but I felt really proud of myself in that moment and I guess it was really because there was something that occurred to me about knowing that suffering in any context makes room for the pleasure to feel that much better because otherwise how would we compare pleasure and pain?
A given!
It's of course a cheesy expression that I'm once again feeling inspired by...
Check out these cool inspiring images I sourced from Google. Wow!! Lmao
Haha. Yep and There it Is...
S: That's all for what I'm feeling and thinking this week.
Trying to enjoy Every Weird Moment! <3
J: Thanks for reading through another email!! Send us messages, photos, things that inspire you. We love to see it.
Over and Out,
